Position: Culinary Cook
About: The Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan is seeking a responsible and dedicated Culinary Cook to join our culinary team. The main responsibilities will include prepping, packaging, and distributing meals to all BGCSM club locations. The ideal candidate must follow instructions well, follow all health and safety rules and be productive in a fast-paced team environment.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in this or a similar role preferred; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to stand for long periods of time and lift to 50 pounds; strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed; must be comfortable working in and around kitchen equipment with exposure to hot & cold temperatures, sharp objects, and potentially hazardous chemicals; required to wear protective clothing as needed; must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and be subject to random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing after employment
