About: The Umstead Hotel & Spa in Cary is seeking a dedicated Cafe Chef to oversee the Employee Cafe. The Cafe Chef plays a crucial role in upholding the core values of quality, sanitation, and fair treatment of all associates, reporting directly to the Hotel’s Banquet Chef and Banquet Sous Chef.
Requirements: Set up buffet line, cook daily menu items, maintain cleanliness, organize inventory, handle incoming orders, ensure stock levels, foster professional relations, demonstrate effective communication, instill calmness in conflicts, work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays, create menus, place orders, minimize waste, adhere to physical requirements of standing, lifting, and recipe following.
