About: The VITAS Healthcare Care Connection Center is seeking a motivated Patient Care Scheduler to join their team. This role involves processing referrals, verifying benefits, and ensuring timely admissions for patients in need of hospice services. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements: Two or more years related experience in medical terminology and/or in a call center environment; Ability to attain goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; Ability to communicate tactfully with various stakeholders; Prior experience in collaborating with functional leaders; High level of organizational skills and ability to multitask; Proficiency in computer systems and software packages; Must be willing to work weekends and holidays; Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus; Completion of high school or equivalent education required; Medical or business office education or training desired
