Position: Cook – The Harpeth Hotel
About: The Harpeth Hotel, located in historic downtown Franklin, is looking for Cooks to join their team in providing quality meals for guests. The hotel offers 119 elegantly appointed guest rooms, event spaces, a hand-crafted cocktail bar, and a southern cuisine restaurant. If you bring a blend of skills, attitude, teamwork, a love of history, and a small-town vibe, this could be the perfect home for you!
Requirements: High school education or equivalent experience; Culinary certificate or degree preferred; Six months – 1 year in a food/beverage services environment or establishment; Strong knowledge of operating industrial-sized ovens and cooking ranges; Possess knowledge of preparing different types of cuisines, relishes, soups, and salads; Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills; Experience working grill and sauté stations preferred; Understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures; Manual coordination and physical ability to lift, push, carry over 50lbs; Ability to stand continuously for long periods; Excellent communication skills in English
