Position: Cook – Long Term Care
About: St. James House of Baytown is currently hiring for a Cook position. The work schedule includes rotating days for both morning and evening shifts. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to residents while adhering to proper food handling techniques. In the absence of the Food Service Manager, the Cook on duty assumes departmental leadership.
Requirements: Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions; Six months of experience in institutional food preparation or related field preferred; Physically capable of lifting 25 pounds; Knowledge of food service equipment and quality food preparation; Possession of a health certificate as required by health departments; Compliance with company policies; Completion of pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening examination
