Position: Cook job
About: Families in Transition is dedicated to Preventing and Breaking the Cycle of Homelessness by empowering individuals through dignified housing, innovative solutions, collaborative relationships, and volunteer opportunities. Currently seeking a Cook to join the team.
Requirements: 2 years’ experience in volume service kitchen (knife skills, meal preparation, cooking); understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures; ability to produce in excess of 600 meals daily; demonstrated proficiency in excellent customer service; basic understanding of Word and Excel; must be willing to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends; ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 40lbs.
