About: CPMC-California Pacific Medical Center Van Ness is seeking a Cook to prepare high-quality food for patients, staff, and customers in accordance with established recipes and standards, demonstrating excellent service orientation to fellow employees and customers.
Requirements: High School Diploma or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience; experience as a cook typically obtained in five years; experience in a large volume food production kitchen typically obtained in five years; hotel/restaurant background; knowledge of applied principles of nutrition, proper sanitation, and food temperature control; able to perform non-complex arithmetic calculations; ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail; ability to lift, push, and pull up to forty pounds; must be able to read, write, and speak English; must have interpersonal skills to communicate well with colleagues, supervisory staff, and customers.
