Requirements: Education: High school diploma or the equivalent; One (1) year certificate from college or technical school related to hospitality or culinary arts. Substitution: Three (3) years of experience as a Cook may substitute for the certificate. Combinations of education and experience may be considered. Experience in an institutional setting preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Must obtain Certified Food Protection Manager within 6 months of hire. Other: Must be at least 18 years of age. Knowledge of large quantity food preparation. Ability to read, write and speak the English language to interpret documents such as recipes, menus, meal tickets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and logs, and procedure manuals.
