Position: Cook Full-Time (1st Shift/Days)
About: Houston Methodist West Hospital in West Houston is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to ensure high-volume, high-quality food service for patients, staff, and visitors. The role involves hot and cold food preparation, adherence to recipes, and maintaining food safety standards. The Cook will work collaboratively with the culinary team to uphold service excellence and support the hospital’s mission.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; at least one year of food service or cooking experience; must possess a Food Handlers Permit issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TXDSHS) or ANSI; proficiency in English language for effective communication; knowledge of Serve Safe guidelines, health department standards, and kitchen equipment; familiarity with buffet receptions, plated menu items, and batch cooking
