Position: Cook (Full Time)
About: Nicklaus Children’s Hospital – Main Hospital Campus in Miami is seeking a Cook II to join their Food & Nutrition Services department. The Cook II works under the guidance of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed, assisting in food production for patients and retail services.
Requirements: Active ServSafe Certification required within 30 days of hire; 1-3 years of volume cooking experience in a hospital, hotel, institutional, or catering setting. High school education or equivalent preferred; previous experience in healthcare food service as a cook preferred; proficiency in food safety and proper techniques and methods; ability to communicate effectively in English; able to use and maintain food service equipment; able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays; able to multitask, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.
