Position: Cook Assistant- Emanuel
About: The Cook Assistant position involves various functions in the production, service, and sanitation areas of Food and Nutrition Services, supporting cooks in food preparation and production tasks. This role may include acting as a short-order Grill Cook for a dynamic culinary environment.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience or education in quantity food preparation; experience working on a computer; ability to read, write, and communicate in English; ability to do simple mathematical calculations; excellent customer service skills; ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Knowledge of equipment such as Cleveland convection steamer, Electric Meat Slicer, Deep Fat Fryer, Alto Sham, Turbo Chef, Impinger, Tilt Skillet, Char Broiler, Steam Kettle, US Gas Range, Gas Range Stovetop. Must be able to follow recipes and production sheets.
