Position: Communications Center Manager
About: Under general direction, elia on the river is seeking a Communications Center Manager in Miami to supervise, plan, and coordinate the activities and operations of the Communications Center, including a consolidated 9-1-1 dispatch center and management of a 3-site simulcast 800MHz radio system. The role involves providing highly responsible staff assistance to the Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chiefs while ensuring efficient emergency services operation in a 24/7 environment.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in public safety, emergency management, public administration, or related field; six (6) years or more of supervisory experience in public safety or emergency communications; or ten (10) years of public safety experience with three (3) years of supervisory experience; experience with city government and knowledge of department operations; strong interpersonal skills; ability to pass pre-employment drug test and criminal history background check
