Position: Chef Manager
About: Valleyfair, located in Shakopee, MN, is seeking a talented and motivated Chef Manager to ensure high-quality standards of food at all Valleyfair food facilities and catering events. The ideal candidate will develop menus, recipes, and complete food preparation methods in accordance with food management. They must demonstrate a strong knowledge in all food operations and be able to assist in purchasing, inventory, and administrative needs.
Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent; valid driver’s license; ServSafe and ServSafe Alcohol certification; 4-6 years of culinary work, including at least 4 years in a commercial environment; extensive experience with food and beverage preparation and presentation, and back-of-house functions; expert knowledge of current food and beverage practices related to commercial food service; strong attention to detail in assigning and overseeing employee work; excellent problem-solving skills; effective communication skills; adept at troubleshooting equipment issues; ability to plan and execute events; related Culinary Arts education
