About: Shukette, part of the Bowery Group restaurants, is seeking experienced Sous Chefs to join their team. Led by Chef Ayesha Nurdjaja, Shukette offers Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine paired with a diverse beverage selection in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is dedicated to supporting local farms and showcasing seasonal ingredients in their dishes, emphasizing honest and fresh food.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of management experience; strong kitchen management skills including inventory, scheduling, and cost control; ability to maintain food quality and consistency standards; experience in creating prep lists, placing orders, and managing vendors; proficiency in BOH facilities maintenance; excellent communication and leadership abilities; knowledge of culinary techniques and standards; detail-oriented with multitasking capabilities; ability to work within set budgets; full-time availability including daytime, evening, and weekend hours
