Position: Chef job
About: Brandywine Living, a premier provider of quality senior living, is seeking a Chef to join our team! The Chef will assist the Executive Chef in all phases of meal preparation, prepares salad bar offerings, desserts, and bakery items, and is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and safety practices in all phases of kitchen operation, food preparation, and storage. The Chef maintains a working knowledge of culinary methods related to ingredient preparation and recipe execution, assists the Executive Chef with meal preparation, may assist in procurement of food inventory and supplies, properly labels and stores food items, understands kitchen equipment operation and maintenance, maintains a clean and sanitary work environment, and is responsible for creation and preparation of baked food items, breads, desserts, etc. Additionally, the Chef performs scheduled cleaning of equipment and work according to the schedule planned by the Executive Chef.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a culinary role preferred; knowledge of culinary methods, ingredient preparation, and recipe execution; ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment; strong sanitation and safety practices; attention to detail; effective communication skills
