The Chef position at Elicit involves mentoring all back-of-house staff, overseeing kitchen operations, managing budgets, and collaborating with the General Manager to ensure a positive and unified approach to restaurant initiatives.
Requirements: 5+ years of managerial experience in a high-volume restaurant; experience with back-of-house administrative and managerial duties; knowledgeable of food preparation techniques and tools; proven ability in teaching and mentoring kitchen employees; exceptional communication and supervisory skills; Food Handler’s Certification required; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability; interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all contacts; willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays; able to communicate effectively in written and oral forms; experience with cost and labor management software a plus.
