Position: CHEF job
About: Denver Rescue Mission, a faith-based organization serving people experiencing homelessness and poverty in Denver and Northern Colorado, is seeking a dedicated Chef to join their team in the frontline fight against homelessness. The Chef will play a crucial role in shelter kitchen operations, activities, and volunteer services under the leadership of the Food Services Manager and Kitchen Supervisor.
Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; previous cooking and commercial kitchen experience required; ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds; knowledge of food industry procedures and sanitation codes; experience in cooking in large and small quantities; hospitality-related skills in both front and back of the house; ServSafe certified or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire; willingness to work weekends and holidays; valid driver’s license required
