Position: Chef De Cuisine

About: The Virginian, a 250+ resident senior living community, offering premier Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing services, is seeking an experienced Chef De Cuisine. This position will assist in leading food production activities and oversee the Rock Creek Grill dining venue. The Chef De Cuisine will report to the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director, coordinating food preparation, cooking activities, and maintaining dietary standards, quality, and a positive work environment. Strong leadership skills, supervision, and mentoring are essential for success in this role, catering to the senior residents.

Requirements: A minimum of five years’ experience as a sous chef or cook in senior living, hotels, restaurants, clubs, or similar; good understanding of food ordering, budgeting, labor planning, scheduling; experience in team management, policies, and procedures; excellent interpersonal, communication, and mathematical skills; post-secondary courses in Restaurant Management, Nutrition, or related field; ServSafe® Certification.
