Position: Chef de Cuisine
About: Princeton University’s Department of Campus Dining is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to plan and manage service, food production, preparation, and presentation across various locations on campus. The culinary organization oversees residential dining halls, retail venues, catering services, and sustainability initiatives, offering diverse and innovative menus to the campus community. The Chef de Cuisine will play a key role in creating unique culinary experiences aligned with the campus vision for the future of dining.
Requirements: Culinary degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience; 4-6 years of experience as a chef or equivalent, managing teams of 15-20 associates; Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive university vehicles; Knowledge of health department rules and regulations including HACCP and Serve Safe; Flexibility with scheduling; Extensive culinary knowledge and experience with menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen equipment; Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; Ability to ensure food safety standards compliance and manage food costs effectively; Physical capacity to meet job requirements and work in a dynamic culinary environment
