Position: Center Executive Director
About: The YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join their team as a Center Executive Director. This role involves managing and overseeing a multi-faceted, family-oriented operation in alignment with the YMCA mission and goals. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining an advisory board, growing the Annual Giving Campaign, fostering community partnerships, effective communication, and coordinating program activities.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred; Y-USA Multi-Team Leader Certification (or equivalent) required within two years; minimum of five or more years of experience in business operations, community involvement, and staff supervision preferred; strong fiscal management and financial development skills required; ability to cultivate relationships and achieve goals; proficient in technology and diverse communication; CPR/First Aid/AED/O2 certification required within 60 days of hire; completion of required trainings including background checks.
