Position: Catering & Special Events Manager
About: The Detroit Athletic Club is seeking a highly motivated and organized Catering & Special Events Manager to join their team. This individual will work closely with the Food & Beverage, Banquet, Culinary, and other department teams to ensure exceptional service during all events, maintaining the unique culture and service excellence the DAC is known for.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; degree in hospitality preferred; 5+ years of experience in the food and beverage service industry; 3+ years of experience as a Catering and/or Special Events Manager; 2-3 years of experience in a private club or luxury hotel preferred; computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs required; extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette and service standards; ability to read, write, and speak English fluently; good analytical and organizational skills; superior interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; customer service-oriented; self-motivated and adaptive to change; commitment to maintaining a strong work ethic and professionalism; awareness and respect for the DAC’s culture and expectations.
