Position: Catering Chef
About: Spokane Club is seeking a talented and experienced Catering Chef to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a proven track record in catering services. The Catering Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing high-quality meals for various events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties. This role involves working closely with the catering sales team and clients to create customized menus, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards, and maintaining inventory and budget controls. The successful candidate should possess excellent organizational and leadership skills, work well under pressure, and be committed to delivering exceptional service to clients. This position will also support the 1910 Restaurant and Deli kitchens at Spokane Club.
Requirements: Proven experience as a Catering Chef or in a similar role; Culinary degree or equivalent certification; Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards; Excellent organizational and leadership skills; Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; Creative and detail-oriented; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to effectively manage a team; Proficient in menu planning and recipe development; Experience in budget management and cost control; Ability to adapt to different client preferences and dietary restrictions; Strong problem-solving skills; Ability to handle client complaints professionally; Knowledge of the latest culinary trends and techniques; Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends; Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items; Valid food handler’s certification; Experience in large-scale food preparation; Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen; Commitment to delivering exceptional service.
