Position: Campus Executive Chef
About: Sodexo is seeking a Catering Manager at Howard University in Washington, DC. At Howard University, the successful candidate will directly impact all culinary operations with oversight of culinary innovation, standards, and programs. This individual will support, train, and develop executive chefs and their teams, focusing on recipe execution, safety, and sanitation. The role involves managing back-of-the-house operations, ordering, inventory, staff training, and development, with significant involvement in sustainability and local purchasing programs.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or equivalent experience preferred; at least five years of culinary experience, with three or more years in a management role; outstanding culinary background with demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams; ability to enhance the dining experience, maintain high-quality standards, and deliver exceptional dining experiences; excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and employee development skills
