Position: Bartender, Part Time
About: The Redondo Beach Hotel, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is looking for a talented Bartender to join the team at Azul Cafe & Bar. The Bartender will be responsible for courteously and efficiently waiting on guests while creating and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The ideal Bartender will maintain a friendly and cheerful demeanor while providing personalized service to guests. Core functions of the position include treating everyone with a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times; effectively communicating with guests and fellow team members; assisting with all aspects of the dining experience; having a deep-rooted knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, and all other beverages to guide guests for the best possible dining experience; developing a strong understanding of the food menu and best pairing of cocktails, beers, and wines; professionally serving food and beverages while ensuring exceptional experiences; processing all cash and charge transactions according to house procedures; stocking side station and assisting with stocking beverages and mixes; maintaining cleanliness of bar tables, chairs, stools, and counter surfaces; assisting other team members and departments; performing assigned duties by management; adhering to Pacifica’s Pure Stay guidelines for health, safety, and comfort of team members and guests; utilizing Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and in accordance with property-specific guidelines.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum legal age to serve alcohol; experience in a bar or restaurant setting preferred; strong knowledge of wines, beers, spirits, and other beverages; excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to handle tense situations calmly; observant and thorough with the ability to anticipate bar needs
