Position: BANQUET CHEF DE CUISINE
About: Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of our Culinary team as the Banquet Chef de Cuisine at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. The Banquet Chef de Cuisine manages the banquet kitchen/function within a 1200-room hotel with 200,000 sq ft of meeting space, working closely with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to create, implement menus, and execute high-volume banquet functions. This role involves leading the kitchen for various banquet functions from client tastings to VIP events/galas, emphasizing leadership, training, and quality control for the Banquet Kitchen team, with a focus on large-volume production.
Requirements: In-depth skills and knowledge of kitchen operations, especially in large volume production or prior banquet kitchen experience, preferable within hotels; strong leadership, communication, organization, and relationship skills; experience in training, basic financial management, and customer service; proficient in general computer knowledge; culinary education and/or on-the-job training, independent restaurant experience preferred; geographic and schedule flexibility preferred
