Position: Banquet Chef
About: Prairie Meadows is seeking an experienced Banquet Chef to join their banquet operations team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and directing kitchen activities to exceed client expectations in a dynamic and highly motivated environment.
Requirements: Associates degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience; five or more years’ experience as a Banquet Chef or in a relevant role; knowledge of BEO timelines; artistic skills in cake decoration and dessert preparation; excellent dietary, baking, managerial, and pastry skills; Iowa Department of Health regulations knowledge; Serv Safe and TIPS certifications required; expertise in plating, presentation, and menu development within budget constraints; proficiency in labor management, inventory control, Microsoft Word and Excel, P&L statements, and Agilysys software; strong attention to detail; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; effective communication skills; physical ability to stand, walk, lift 50 lbs, and push carts up to 150 lbs.
