Position: Bakery Cake Decorator – Part Time
About: Whole Foods Market is seeking a talented Bakery Decorator to join their team. The Bakery Decorator will be responsible for creating and decorating cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items with artistic flair and precision, maintaining quality standards and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires adherence to company procedures, Core Values, and food safety regulations.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; 6-12 months of retail or restaurant experience; completion of Bakery Decorator Apprentice training program or equivalent experience; proficiency in cake and pastry decorating techniques, color theory, icing applications, recipe following, knife handling, and basic math skills; strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment; physical ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, use hands for grasping and fine manipulation, bend, twist, reach, work with cleaning chemicals, and work in various temperature conditions; flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays; experience in a professional bakery or grocery retail preferred.
