Position: BAKER job
About: The Pueblo of Sandia is seeking a Baker to join their team. The Baker will be responsible for delivering high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods, following standardized procedures and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. This position reports to the First Baker and Pastry Chef, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and timely communication of any issues.
Requirements: High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent; One (1) year of experience in high-volume hotel/restaurant or food service production of pastries, desserts, and baked goods preferred. Culinary School certification is a plus. Ability to follow instructions, make basic arithmetic calculations, and comply with health and safety regulations; Knowledge of pastry techniques, equipment, and recipes; Physical ability to lift and carry at least 40 lbs, standing for long periods, and working flexible schedules including weekends and holidays; Completion of a New Mexico Food Handlers Course within 30 days of hire date; Successful background investigation and drug screening required.
