Position: Associate Director, Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services
About: The Associate Director of Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services at a University is responsible for providing staff and programs that complement the public affairs mission of the institution. This role involves long-range and short-range planning to meet student development needs, personnel administration, supervision of staff, coordination of student conduct, managing summer programs, and advising student groups. The Associate Director provides leadership, develops policies, and manages the residence hall system.
Requirements: A Master’s degree in Educational Administration, College Student Personnel, or a related field is required; At least five years post-Master’s experience in residence life or a related field with increasing levels of responsibility; Experience with student conduct, hall administration, Resident Assistant supervision, student development and programming, leadership development, and supervision of employees; Ability to select, train, supervise, and evaluate personnel; Effective communication skills; Proficiency in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution; Budget administration and goal implementation skills; Proficiency in organizing student development programs and motivating students; Proficiency in using word processing and other software applications
