Position: Associate Director – Facilities
About: The University of Michigan’s Recreational Sports Department is dedicated to fostering a healthy lifestyle through engagement, leadership, and active participation. The department manages several programs, indoor and outdoor facilities, and an adventure-based education center. Established in 1913, it is recognized as one of the first collegiate recreation programs in the U.S.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Health, Wellness, Recreation, Sports Management, or a related field; minimum of 8 years of professional supervision and leadership of campus recreation facilities or related operations; minimum of 4 years of experience supervising full-time campus recreation employees; experience supervising aquatics facility operations and/or aquatics staff; demonstrated experience in the development and oversight of facility and/or program budgets; demonstrated experience and knowledge of campus recreation risk management; experience and knowledge of facility management or campus recreation management software programs; current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and AED or the ability to obtain within six months of hire
