Position: Assistant Kitchen Manager
About: PURE Taqueria is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to join their team and assist in achieving their mission. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will lead the Back of the House team, oversee daily kitchen operations, and ensure adherence to PURE standards and systems. They will play a crucial role in maintaining food quality, controlling costs, retaining employees, and upholding cleanliness and sanitation practices. Additionally, the Assistant Kitchen Manager will handle accounting functions, POS operations, and may act as an Expo/BOH MOD when needed, showcasing exceptional knife skills and expertise in Escoffier techniques.
Requirements: Must have a proven record of leadership, team building, effective communication, and sound judgment; At least 2 years experience as a chef, sous chef, or kitchen manager, with a focus on Escoffier techniques; Excellent communication skills in English or Spanish; Current ServSafe certification; Proficiency in basic math, POS systems, Accounting Software, and Microsoft Office; Ability to work long hours in a standing position, lift up to 50 pounds, and work 50 to 60 hours per week
