Position: Assistant Chef, REGIONS Staff Secure Residential Program for Male Youth
About: Community Partners in Action (CPA) is seeking an Assistant Chef for the REGIONS Staff Secure Residential Program for Male Youth in Hartford, CT. CPA, established nearly 150 years ago, focuses on criminal justice reform and supporting individuals in and out of prison through various programs including reentry, housing, youth initiatives, and a Prison Arts Program, among others. The organization aims to positively impact individuals and society, serving around 7,000 individuals annually in Connecticut through partnerships with individuals, government, private funders, and organizations.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; at least 1 year of experience in food ordering and meal preparation in group settings; clear understanding of Connecticut’s food service regulations; experience in meeting Department of Health regulations; certified Qualified Food Operator or ability to qualify; capacity to provide vocational training; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with multi-cultural populations; valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation; flexibility to work weekends and holidays; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
