Position: Alternative Site Cafeteria Manager I
About: Polaris K-12 School, a part of the Anchorage School District in Alaska, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Food Service/Alternative Site Cafeteria Manager I to join their team. This role involves overseeing the preparation and service of meals according to food safety guidelines, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with USDA and State meal guidelines.
Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent; two years of responsible experience in a large-scale food service operation; proficiency in cashiering and Microsoft Office; basic math skills; completion of the ASD Serving It Safe food safety class within 21 days from hire. Preferred qualifications include one year of supervisory experience, training in staff kitchen responsibilities, experience with food service point of sale systems, and previous food service management experience.
