Position: AJ’s Fine Foods Sushi Chef – Pima & Pinnacle Peak
About: The Sushi Chef position at a retail establishment focuses on assisting in the operation of prepared foods, collaborating with the Sushi Team Lead to meet sales and customer service targets. The role requires a keen eye for Food Safety and Sanitation, encompassing tasks such as stocking, production, and merchandising while prioritizing exceptional customer service for a seamless experience.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills; proficiency in production, ordering, merchandising, inventory control, and safety within the sushi department; experience in filleting fish and preparing sushi following quality standards; knowledge of menu planning, creativity, and experimentation with new trends in sushi recipes; compliance with health department regulations and standards; effective communication within the meat department; cash handling proficiency according to company policies; physical ability to stand, sit, lift and stock items up to 50 lbs, push, keyboard, use telephone, walk, bend for extended periods.
