Position: Adjunct Faculty: Culinary Arts
About: SLCC Lafayette Campus is seeking a passionate and dedicated Culinary Arts Instructor to join the Academic & Student Affairs department within the Business, IT & Professional Studies sub-department. The position involves teaching introductory and advanced courses in the Culinary Arts program, utilizing innovative teaching strategies to enhance students’ critical thinking skills and success, and staying updated with industry trends and technologies to provide a comprehensive learning experience. The instructor will also be responsible for maintaining professional relations with the industry through visits and advisory committee meetings, participating in professional development activities, and adhering to departmental policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements: Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or a related discipline with three years of culinary industry experience; or any Associate’s degree with five years of culinary industry experience; experience at the management/supervisory level; current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire; American Culinary Federation (ACF) Certification or ability to certify within 12 months of employment
