Job Description
Fogo de Chao is a renowned Brazilian steakhouse restaurant chain famous for its authentic Churrasco dining experience. Established with the mission to bring the culinary art of fire-roasted meats to guests around the world, Fogo de Chao offers a vibrant and warm dining atmosphere that combines tradition, exceptional service, and high-quality ingredients to deliver unforgettable meals. With locations across multiple cities, Fogo de Chao prides itself on creating memorable experiences centered around shared meals and cultural hospitality. The company is deeply committed to its values of teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility, and a unique cultural phrase "Deixa Comigo" which means "We’ve got you," underscoring their dedication to caring for guests, the team, and the community. Full-time and part-time team members alike are supported with various growth opportunities and inclusive work environments that promote personal and professional development.
The Server / Waiter / Waitress role at Fogo de Chao is one of the most important positions in delivering the exceptional dining experience that the brand is known for. As the first point of contact, servers are expected to welcome guests warmly, provide detailed knowledge about the menu—especially the continuous table side serving concept associated with Churrasco—and ensure that every guest feels valued and cared for. This role is designed for energetic, detail-oriented individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for hospitality. Servers at Fogo de Chao are responsible not only for delivering food and beverages promptly but also for educating guests about the culinary traditions behind each dish, taking personalized orders especially for specialty meats prepared tableside by the Churrasqueiros, and facilitating smooth transactions through collaboration with the cashier team. The job requires physical stamina, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in creating joyful dining experiences.
The employment is hourly with a fixed rate of $16.90 per hour and includes eligibility to earn tips, further incentivizing excellent customer service. Fogo de Chao offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance that begins after 60 days of employment. Other company-sponsored benefits include life insurance and short-term disability coverage. Part-time employees also have access to a Minimum Essential Coverage health plan along with dental and vision benefits. Voluntary benefits like critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life insurance, pet insurance, legal assistance, and ID protection provide added security and peace of mind to team members. This role is well-suited for individuals looking for meaningful work in a supportive, growth-oriented hospitality setting where every day is an opportunity to connect and make a positive impact through food and service.
