Job Description
Cinemark USA is an esteemed luxury cinema exhibitor that brings an enhanced movie-going experience to audiences through its unique theater brands, "Cinemark Luxury Cinemas" and "Movie House & Eatery." Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, the company operates 26 luxury and premium theaters across various states including California, Florida, New Jersey, Connecticut, Texas, Maryland, and Ohio. As a subsidiary of Cinépolis International, the world's most popular movie theater exhibitor, Cinemark USA is committed to innovation, film, and global hospitality standards. The company's theaters offer not only film screenings but also premier customer service combined with exclusive food and beverages, ensuring guests enjoy an extraordinary entertainment experience.
This role is for a Bar Team Member within the Operations Department. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the position involves working in the theater's bar areas, greeting guests warmly, and providing excellent beverage service with a focus on both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The base pay ranges from $16.90 to $19.50, indicating a competitive hourly wage in line with the hospitality industry's standards. The position is designed to support the hospitality culture of Cinépolis by ensuring quality service through attention to guest needs, accurate order processing, and maintaining bar cleanliness and safety.
Bar Team Members are expected to demonstrate passion and commitment, creating memorable experiences by having comprehensive knowledge of bar and menu items. They are responsible for mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks following standard recipes, ensuring alcohol is served responsibly in compliance with age restrictions (21 and older), and upholding the company’s alcohol service and safety training guidelines. The role also involves stock management duties, including setting up and maintaining appropriate bar inventory levels and communicating effectively with supervisors about supply status.
Candidates must have at least one year of bartending experience in a full bar environment and hold ServSafe and alcohol training certifications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to successfully navigate guest interactions, including managing any complaints or difficult situations in a polite and professional manner. The Bar Team Member must be organized and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
The physical demands of this position include frequent walking, bending, standing for extended periods, hand usage for handling bar equipment, and occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance. Working hours are flexible and may include nights, holidays, and weekends to align with theater operations.
Cinépolis USA is dedicated to providing an inclusive workplace, proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, ensuring that hiring practices do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability, or other legally protected characteristics. Working for Cinépolis provides team members with not only a competitive salary and employee benefits but also opportunities for personal growth within one of the leading companies in the entertainment and hospitality industries.
