Job Description

American Golf is a distinguished leader in golf hospitality, recognized for its dedication to enhancing the game of golf and the communities it serves. With a wealth of expertise in golf operations and club culture, American Golf focuses on creating welcoming, memorable experiences for every guest and member. The company's commitment to course care, exceptional service, and nurturing environments makes golf more than just a sport—it becomes a place where relationships flourish, traditions are honored, and a welcoming community is built.

Located at Monarch Bay Golf Course in San Leandro, California, American Golf offers an inviting atmosphere where players and visitors can connect and enjoy their time in a thoughtfully maintained setting. The company emphasizes the role of golf as a unifying community sport and ensures that every touchpoint, from course maintenance to hospitality services, reflects that ethos.

The role of Bartender at American Golf is integral to delivering the unique guest experience the company prides itself on. Bartenders play a vital role in crafting and serving a variety of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, that meet company standards. This position is not only about mixing drinks but also about engaging with guests, offering excellent service, and maintaining a safe and responsible environment for all patrons. The bartender ensures guests and members enjoy their visit, feel valued, and return for future experiences.

Bartenders at American Golf are skilled professionals who combine technical bartending skills with a passion for hospitality. Their duties include mixing traditional and innovative cocktails, verifying guest ages, processing payments, and maintaining cleanliness of glassware and bar utensils. A key aspect of the role is being perceptive and attentive, ensuring responsible alcohol consumption while creating an enjoyable atmosphere.

The position requires a flexible schedule, often including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the business. Physical stamina is essential due to the extended periods of standing and walking, as well as occasional lifting and moving of bar supplies and furniture. Bartenders must be comfortable operating various equipment such as blenders, coffee makers, dishwashers, and ice machines, showcasing versatility in their skill set.

American Golf supports a culture of inclusivity and equal employment opportunities, welcoming applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, age, disability, or other protected classes. Being a part of the American Golf team means contributing to a community-focused organization that values integrity, respect, and excellence in service.
