Job Description
Product Connections is a subsidiary of the Acosta Group, one of the most trusted names in retail, marketing, and foodservice industries. Known for its innovative approach to connecting consumers with brands, Product Connections specializes in executing in-store product demonstrations and events that effectively engage shoppers and drive product sales. As part of a full-service marketing agency, the company handles digital and traditional retail events, experiential marketing, sponsorship activation, and omnichannel shopper marketing. Their mission is to deliver comprehensive brand solutions that target the right consumers at the right time, moving them smoothly through the conversion funnel. With a workforce of over 10,000 field experts and 150 corporate employees, Product Connections offers an inclusive and collaborative culture where employees are valued, supported, and empowered to grow their skills and advance their careers.
The role of Associate within Product Connections is designed for individuals who enjoy engaging with customers and have a passion for product knowledge and demonstration. This position is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations, a critical element in driving product awareness and sales. Associates are tasked with acquiring and maintaining thorough knowledge of the products they represent to effectively communicate features, benefits, and usage instructions to consumers. The role requires maintaining a professional appearance at all times and adhering to food safety guidelines when preparing and serving samples, which often include raw meats, produce, and eggs. The Associate must also manage and maintain event equipment and supplies in a clean and secure manner.
In addition to direct consumer engagement, Associates act as a liaison between event supervisors and store management, ensuring smooth execution of promotional events, particularly in the absence of supervisors. This requires strong communication skills and the ability to lead and support fellow team members. The position demands proficiency with personal computers and mobile devices to complete online event requirements and expense reports promptly. The role typically involves up to 25 hours per week, offering flexibility while maintaining the potential for change based on business needs.
Associates at Product Connections work in a dynamic retail environment that demands physical stamina, including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), and operating equipment like microwaves, fryers, and coffee makers. The job also involves routine use of cleaning chemicals to maintain workstations and adherence to company dress codes and grooming standards. While English is the primary language, bilingual skills are an asset depending on business requirements.
Product Connections is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. The company emphasizes a respectful and inclusive workplace where employees can contribute their ideas and make a meaningful impact. Overall, the Associate role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading marketing agency that values innovation, teamwork, and career growth.
