Job Description
Four Seasons Hotel Washington, D.C. is a distinguished luxury hotel situated at the heart of the nation's capital, blending timeless elegance with modern amenities. Known for its exceptional service and privileged location near Georgetown and the historic C&O Canal, the hotel is a preferred destination for diplomats, global leaders, and discerning travelers seeking refined and personalized experiences. The hotel boasts world-class amenities, including a Michelin-starred restaurant and top-tier wellness facilities, making it a premier venue for high-profile guests aiming for both comfort and sophistication.
As a part of the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts chain, the property adheres to a culture of excellence, empathy, and innovation, empowering its team members to deliver unforgettable experiences rooted in genuine care and professional pride. The environment fosters career growth, global opportunities, and a supportive workplace where employees can thrive while contributing to the brand's legacy of luxury hospitality.
The Group Event Services Manager role is a critical position within the Sales & Events team, tasked with the end-to-end management of distinguished group events at the hotel. This experienced and detail-oriented professional operates as the primary liaison between group clients and the hotel, orchestrating every element from initial contract signing through to flawless event execution. The position demands strategic thinking and creativity to ensure customized service aligned with client objectives, often managing complex logistics and multiple stakeholders to create seamless and memorable experiences.
In this role, the manager will oversee all aspects of event logistics, including meeting space configuration, banquet service, food and beverage planning, audio-visual coordination, and vendor partnership management. The role involves conducting site inspections and pre-conference meetings to showcase the venue's service capabilities, ensuring proactive communication among internal teams and maintaining meticulous records in property management systems such as Delphi and Opera.
The Group Event Services Manager supports on-site event operations, resolving challenges swiftly, and upholding exceptional service standards that reinforce the Four Seasons brand. Collaboration is essential, requiring the ability to work closely across departments—Sales, Catering, Banquets, Culinary, and Front Office—to tailor experiences that exceed client expectations. Additionally, this manager contributes to revenue forecasting and budgeting, helping the hotel to optimize financial outcomes while maintaining superior event quality.
Ideal candidates bring a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in event services or catering within luxury hotels or upscale event venues, alongside a robust understanding of hospitality operations and food and beverage standards. Proficiency with relevant event management software and a flexible approach to working irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, are also necessary.
The hotel offers a competitive annual base salary of $78,000, complemented by opportunities for incentive compensation based on individual and departmental performance. Four Seasons is committed to employee well-being by providing excellent benefits and a nurturing professional environment where one’s efforts are recognized and rewarded. This opportunity presents an ideal platform for hospitality professionals passionate about delivering the highest caliber of service in the luxury event sector.
