Job Description
Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a leading provider of in-store event marketing services, specializing in creating impactful product demonstrations that drive sales and enhance customer engagement within retail environments. Recognized as the preferred in-house event marketing provider for Costco, CDS has built a reputation for excellence by delivering personalized, person-to-person marketing experiences that connect customers directly with products. CDS prides itself on fostering a dynamic and supportive workplace culture that values innovation, teamwork, and professional growth. The company offers competitive full-time employment opportunities, including a comprehensive benefits package with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off. Employees benefit from a structured work schedule designed to support work-life balance, typically working Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with some variation based on operational needs.
The role of Event Manager at CDS is integral to maintaining and expanding the company’s reputation for exceptional in-store marketing. This full-time position focuses on managing the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of in-store Product Demonstrators who play a critical role in engaging Club members and driving product sales. The Event Manager is responsible for ensuring that all demonstrations are executed with professionalism and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, especially when dealing with perishable products. This position requires strong multitasking abilities and excellent communication skills, as the Event Manager must coordinate with warehouse managers, external vendors, and demonstration staff to seamlessly execute marketing events. Additionally, the Event Manager participates in new location grand openings, providing leadership and expertise to ensure the success of these high-visibility events.
Key aspects of this role include hands-on involvement in training Product Demonstrators to deliver high-quality customer service and product presentations that effectively highlight product features and benefits. The Event Manager acts as a mentor and coach, guiding staff performance and addressing any issues that arise with professionalism and prompt action. This leadership role demands attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift rapidly. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams, exercising independent judgment, and building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Overall, the Event Manager position at CDS offers a rewarding opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about retail marketing, leadership, and excellence in customer engagement. By joining CDS, you become part of a company dedicated to providing outstanding marketing services that benefit both our customers and Costco members. This role offers a unique blend of operational management, staff development, and strategic event participation, all within a supportive and flexible work environment that values your contributions and supports your professional growth.
