As a part of the Enbridge family, which boasts over 175 years of experience in the natural gas industry, Tomorrow RNG combines advanced technology with dedicated expertise to deliver high-quality RNG assets. The company operates cutting-edge facilities with a strong focus on sustainability, working closely with landfill partners and the communities it serves to provide superior environmental solutions. With a team of more than 125 professionals, Tomorrow RNG is deeply invested in integrating the RNG value chain seamlessly to ensure operational excellence and environmental compliance.
The Plant Operator role is crucial to maintaining optimal functioning of a RNG processing plant. This position involves independent operation and maintenance responsibilities of various plant systems, including compression, treating facilities such as solvent regeneration and CO2 extraction, gas dehydration, condensate and product storage, truck loading, electrical generation, and other associated equipment and activities. The operator will perform duties with a strong safety-first mindset, adhering strictly to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Plant Operator must work diligently to sustain peak plant performance and comply fully with environmental standards.
This job requires vigorous outdoor work in all weather conditions, demanding physical endurance and commitment. The role follows a 12-hour, four-day rotating shift schedule, covering both day and night shifts. Applicants must reside within 45 minutes of the site located in Melissa, Texas. The position offers an opportunity to learn valuable skills in plant operations, including process safety management and the use of specialized applications like flow computers and gas chromatographs. While previous experience is not mandatory, the role encourages growth through ongoing training and involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.
The Plant Operator will engage in diverse tasks ranging from preparing operational reports, conducting daily inspections, and performing routine maintenance such as changing filters and greasing bearings, to assisting in plant maintenance and communicating efficiently with vendors and team members. The operator is expected to follow strict lockout/tagout procedures and maintain clear and safe workspaces. This role also supports operational continuity in upset conditions by collaborating with maintenance technicians and other personnel.
Tomorrow RNG values a proactive work ethic, reliability, and a dedication to team success. The company provides a supportive environment with growth opportunities and emphasizes safety, sustainability, and community impact. With comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and bonus pay, this role is well-suited for individuals seeking a rewarding career in renewable energy plant operations.
