The company emphasizes creating a positive environment not only for its customers but also for the employees, often referred to as Family Members, fostering teamwork, growth, and career advancement within the organization. With its headquarters located in Austin, Texas, the company maintains a culture of leadership and excellence that drives both operational success and employee satisfaction.

The Operating Partner role at Whataburger is a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing the overall performance and operations of one or more restaurant locations. This position requires a dynamic individual who can effectively oversee financial management, staffing, customer service, and operational execution. Responsibilities include managing profit and loss, controlling labor and food costs, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and actively participating in hiring and development to build a strong and capable team.

Employees in this role enjoy numerous benefits such as competitive six-figure earning potential with weekly pay and uncapped bonuses through monthly and annual payouts. Whataburger offers a robust rewards program including performance-based pay increases, leadership development opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package. This package features healthcare, life insurance, paid time off starting at five weeks from day one, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, disability insurance, scholarships for employees and dependents, and various discounts on meals, wireless services, gym memberships, and software. The company also awards and recognizes contributions, celebrating milestones such as retirements.

As an Operating Partner, you will be instrumental in executing operational plans alongside managers and market leaders, analyzing restaurant performance data, customer feedback, and labor metrics to make informed decisions that drive success. Ensuring a safe workplace and promoting the highest food safety standards are paramount. Moreover, you will champion change by leading the rollout and adoption of new products, systems, and company campaigns to continually evolve the business.

Whataburger highly values diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, gender, religion, or other protected statuses. The company actively participates in the federal E-Verify Program to uphold legal work status compliance.

By joining Whataburger as an Operating Partner, you will take on a leadership role that combines financial acumen, people management, and operational expertise in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
