Job Description

Arby’s is a renowned fast-food restaurant chain known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and exceptional customer service. Founded with a passion for delivering delicious meals and memorable dining experiences, Arby’s continues to grow and evolve while maintaining its strong foundation of core values. These values—Dream Big, Work Hard, Get it Done, Play Fair, Have Fun, and Make a Difference—reflect the company’s dedication to fostering a positive work environment and culture where every team member can thrive and contribute meaningfully. As a part of the Arby’s family, employees are encouraged to grow professionally and personally, supported by leadership that prioritizes development, inclusion, and fairness. With competitive benefits, opportunities for advancement, and an emphasis on teamwork, Arby’s stands as a great place to build a rewarding career in the foodservice industry.

The General Manager (GM) role at Arby’s is pivotal in driving the success of individual restaurant locations. As the strategic and operational leader, the GM is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations, ensuring that performance and profitability goals are not only met but exceeded. This includes directing a high-performing management team, ensuring compliance with food safety and operational standards, and fostering an engaging, positive culture that champions both team development and guest satisfaction. The GM acts as a hands-on leader who exemplifies the company’s core values through their actions and decisions, modeling exceptional hospitality and ensuring that every guest has a safe, clean, and welcoming experience.

Beyond operational oversight, the General Manager serves as a catalyst for continuous improvement throughout the restaurant. They lead by example, actively supporting team members in all positions to optimize workflows and enhance the overall quality of service. Collaboration, mentorship, and clear communication are central to this leadership role, enabling a cohesive team environment where each individual’s contributions are valued. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and day-to-day execution, with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences while maintaining rigorous standards in food quality, cleanliness, safety, and customer service.

As the face of the restaurant, the General Manager plays a crucial role in shaping the brand’s reputation locally. They are tasked with setting objectives for sales and profitability, monitoring key performance indicators, and developing actionable plans to drive growth. Additionally, this role requires adaptability in dynamic foodservice environments, managing everything from staffing and scheduling to inventory control and vendor relationships. With multiple responsibilities spanning operational management, team leadership, and guest relations, the GM position offers a comprehensive and fulfilling career path for those passionate about excellence in the restaurant business.
