Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- ability to work with little supervision and maintain high performance and customer service
- demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing with residents, guests, and staff
- meet state-related requirements if applicable

- keep all business and operations information confidential
- possess organizational skills and problem-solving ability
- excellent customer service and public relations skills
- ability to work under time constraints and meet department deadlines while adhering to policies, procedures, and standards
- ability to periodically move on foot in the community for security checks and resident assistance over long distances or periods
- preferred experience in computer use and relevant software applications
- experience with multi-line telephone systems
- successfully pass criminal record clearance, health screening, and TB clearance if applicable

- maintain certifications such as First Aid if required
Job Duties
- Staff the reception desk continuously during assigned period
- arrange coverage of reception desk during break and lunch periods
- graciously greet all visitors and politely assist them as necessary
- politely assist residents and guests or contact appropriate employee for assistance
- maintain detailed resident and guest register, daily communication log entry, and complete daily checklist log
- notify staff if resident is taken out of the building and monitor front door to ensure residents do not exit without proper supervision
- maintain a clean and safe workspace, community entrance, lobby, and hydration station
- prepare refreshments and pour coffee in dining room during mealtimes as needed
- sort and direct mail to managers, residents, or forward to family
- help organize guest meal counts and record coupons or payment from residents
- promptly and courteously answer telephone and direct incoming communications
- monitor fax machine and direct incoming communications
- monitor and respond to resident call and exit alarm systems, handle emergency procedures, contact 911 if necessary, notify management and families
- perform clerical duties as directed
- notify Maintenance Department of community or resident maintenance requests and perform maintenance duties if maintenance unavailable
- maintain inventory control system for office supplies and notify manager of needed items
- perform simple routine maintenance of office equipment
- represent the community professionally to coworkers, visitors, and residents
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
