Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale is part of the prestigious Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts brand, a global leader in luxury hospitality known for delivering exceptional guest experiences worldwide. With a portfolio of 120 hotels and resorts and 45 residential properties spanning 47 countries, Four Seasons has established itself as a benchmark for quality and service in the industry. Located in the vibrant coastal city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences offers an unparalleled luxury experience with its 22-story oceanfront building that features 189 accommodations, 42 private residences, grand event spaces, two pools, a luxurious spa, and some of the area's most desirable dining options. The property is designed to blend seamlessly with its stunning Atlantic Ocean surroundings, embodying a modern interpretation of the classic yacht club lifestyle and integrating vibrant social spaces that reflect Americana and possibility.
This sophisticated setting places the hotel at the heart of Fort Lauderdale's bustling yachting community, close to premier shops, restaurants, marinas, and entertainment venues. The Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale acts as a beacon of luxury travel and living in this acclaimed vacation destination, emphasizing world-class service and a rich, welcoming atmosphere that invites guests and residents to truly connect with the people and culture around them.
The role of Catering Sales Manager at Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale is a prime opportunity for an energetic, sales-driven individual passionate about delivering excellence in the hospitality sector. As a pivotal member of the sales and catering team, the Catering Sales Manager will coordinate with various departments to optimize the use of the hotel's function spaces, driving maximum revenue through strategic negotiations and event planning. This full-time position demands a blend of creativity, organizational skills, and client-focused service, ensuring that every event—from corporate meetings to social gatherings—is executed flawlessly to meet clients' unique needs while maximizing profitability.
Responsibilities include negotiating menus and event proposals to secure profitable contracts, finalizing booking requirements, managing billing accuracy, and supervising banquet events to ensure client satisfaction from start to finish. The manager will also maintain thorough communication between the sales, catering, and operational teams and participate in key meetings to align efforts and strategies. Additionally, the role involves active solicitation of new business, responding promptly to client inquiries, cultivating an extensive follow-up system, and leveraging industry knowledge to stay competitive and influential in the local market.
Ideal candidates bring two to three years of relevant hotel catering and conference services experience, preferably within luxury hotel environments, alongside proven leadership skills and a passion for client engagement. Educational preferences lean toward a college degree or equivalent experience, with a strong command of the English language and exceptional interpersonal and organizational abilities. Creativity, attention to detail, multitasking capability, and the ability to manage pressure and long hours, including evenings and weekends, are essential for success in this role.
Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale is committed to fostering a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture where employees are encouraged to be their authentic selves and engage in diverse events throughout the year. Employees benefit from competitive wages, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a robust employee assistance program, a 401k retirement plan, ongoing training and development opportunities, and special perks such as complimentary accommodations at other Four Seasons locations, dry cleaning for uniforms, and employee meals.
Working at Four Seasons means joining a Fortune "100 Best Companies to Work For" consistently recognized for its employee dedication and service excellence. The hotel supports a culture of dignity, pride, and satisfaction, ensuring that team members have the resources and environment to excel both personally and professionally. Candidates authorized to work in the United States or current Four Seasons managers eligible for L-1 visa sponsorship are encouraged to apply and become part of a globally respected brand that values its people as its greatest asset.
