Position: Zamboni Driver
About: The City of Fort Collins is seeking a Zamboni Driver for its Recreation department at the EPIC INDOOR POOL/ ICE RINK. This position involves maintaining the quality of the ice surface through scheduled resurfacings and other ice maintenance tasks, along with ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of the facility and assisting patrons and staff as needed.
Requirements: Minimum age for the Zamboni Driver position is 18; Customer service and custodial maintenance experience is helpful; Bilingual language skills in English and Spanish highly preferred; Current CPR and First Aid Certifications required (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire); Current driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record needed; General knowledge of Ice Arena operations, ability to operate ice resurfacing equipment, and knowledge of effective de-escalation and conflict resolution strategies required; Ability to work independently, handle stressful situations with tact, communicate effectively, and make sound judgments is essential.
