Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering a career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school provides housing, meals, and comprehensive support, fully endowed to ensure the success of students and staff. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as Flex Houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to provide nurturing guidance to a group of approximately 8-12 students, fostering a family-like environment.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus regulations including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment; limitations on pets; valid driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; both spouses must complete an individual employment application.
