Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private educational institution offering career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade coming from underprivileged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school provides full financial support including housing, meals, and more to ensure the success of both students and staff members. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as Flex Houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to provide guidance, support, and a family-like environment for approximately 8-12 students each.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; this is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus policies including a smoke-free, weapon-free environment, and no alcohol on duty; limitations on pets with only fish and one approved breed of dog allowed; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (without proselytizing); high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate high integrity as role models for students; both spouses must submit individual employment applications.
