Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School is a renowned private school offering a unique educational experience to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, from pre-K through 12th grade. With a fully endowed campus founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school provides housing, meals, and comprehensive support for both students and staff to thrive in a nurturing environment. The Youth Development Specialist role involves married couples serving as flex houseparents, guiding and nurturing students in a family-like setting on campus.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus regulations including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment, restrictions on pets, and no alcohol on duty; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
